.NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain extension is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are popular by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to reserve john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought third-level names remained working.

Through our firm, you can secure your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer code from the current registration provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular prerequisites on who can grab a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The .NAME generic top-level extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost.
